HUNTSVILLE - The Southern Professional Hockey League today named Max Milosek Player of the Week for November 25 - December 1.

Over the weekend, Milosek helped secure two victories for the Havoc by recording a pair of shutouts. The goalie has won four out of the five past games he's appeared in net.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Havoc hosted the Birmingham Bulls and Milosek started between the crossbars. The Havoc took the lead three minutes into the first period and held it until the finality of the game. The Bulls had six power plays and one penalty shot attempt over the course of the game, but Milosek kept the Bulls scoreless. The Havoc defeated the Bulls 4-0 with Milosek making 27 saves.

On Saturday night, the Havoc traveled up north to take on the first-place team, the Peoria Rivermen. After a scoreless first period, the Havoc took the lead after scoring a short-handed goal. In the third, Huntsville put two more pucks in back of the net and upped their lead to three goals. Milosek shutout the Rivermen in a 3-0 victory, made 17 saves and gave first-place Peoria their first regulation loss of the season.

Milosek, who attended Univ. of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, is now in his second season with the Havoc. Last year, Milosek had a strong rookie season and helped lead his team to the President's Cup championship. The Lapeer, Michigan native was named SPHL President's Cup MVP, posting a .922 save percentage along with a 2.29 goals allowed average, both breaking previous Havoc records.
