Mark Evanchick 2020 MLL Draft Prospect
May 1, 2020 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release
Boston, MA - As Evanchick's role with the Quakers grew, the team's record improved. In 2018, the first season in which Evanchick saw time for the University of Pennsylvania, the team went 7-8. In his second season as a starter, taking a leading role for the defense, Penn went 12-4 in 2019. With only 5 games in the 2020 season, it was too early to tell if Evanchick could improve on this record in his final campaign.
Mark Evanchick has the talent of a top linebacker and top lacrosse defender - he is dynamic, strong and ready for a challenge. On top of his clear talent, he has ties to both Philadelphia and Connecticut, a draw for teams on the lookout for home-grown talent.
Will we see Evanchick become the newest member of the Hammerheads or the Barrage? Will another team pick him up first? To find out, follow the results of the 2020 MLL Collegiate Draft Presented by Cascade on MLL's social media platforms, May 4 at 7:30pm EST. (Instagram: @majorleaguelax, Twitter: @MLL_Lacrosse)
