Major League Soccer Announces Venue Change

October 12, 2017 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Columbus Crew SC News Release

COLUMBUS - Major League Soccer today announced that the venue for Crew SC's road contest against New York City FC on Sunday, October 22, has been changed and it will now take place at Citi Field in Queens (123-01 Roosevelt Ave, Queens, NY 11368), home of the New York Mets. Kickoff time has not been changed and the match is still set to start at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The change of venue has become necessary due to the New York Yankees advancing to the American League Championship Series (ALCS) as part of the 2017 MLB Playoffs. Due to additional preparations during the MLB Playoffs, there is insufficient time to convert Yankee Stadium should the Yankees progress beyond the ALCS to the World Series.

B roadcast details for this match remain unchanged, with the match being available via The CW Columbus, Spectrum Sports, BCSN2, CD102.5 FM and La Mega 103.1 FM, with the English radio stream also available on ColumbusCrewSC.com. The Spanish radio calls are also set to be streamed in Spanish on the LaMega1 App and via Tunein Radio as WVKO-FM.

The Black & Gold return to action this Sunday, October 15 when they travel to Orlando City Stadium to take on Orlando City SC (5:00 p.m. ET / The CW Columbus, Spectrum Sports, BCSN 2, CD102.5 FM, La Mega 103.1 FM, English radio stream available on ColumbusCrewSC.com).
