Locke Shines In Triple-A Game; Harrison Continues Hot Streak For Pirates

INDIANAPOLIS -- Left handed starter Jeff Locke tossed three scoreless frames in the Tribe's Triple-A spring match-up at Pirate City, while former Tribe infielder Josh Harrison continued his spring hot streak by going 1-for-1 with a double in the Pirates 2-1 Major League Spring Training loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday afternoon in Bradenton, Florida.

After being optioned to Indianapolis on Thursday, March 15, Locke excelled in his Triple-A spring game for the Indians on Saturday afternoon by tossing three scoreless frames against the Triple-A squad of the Toronto Blue Jays. Also optioned to Indy on March 15, INF Chase d'Arnaud had a bunt single and run scored, while potential Tribe relievers Kyle Cofield and Mike Crotta worked the final two frames of the contest.

On the Major League side, former Indianapolis infielder Josh Harrison went 1-for-1 with a double to improve his average to .600 (9-for-15) with five doubles over his first nine Major League Spring games this season. However, despite Harrison's continued hot streak and a solo home run from OF Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 2-1 at McKechnie Field.
