Lions Host Bombers Saturday Presented by Purolator
(Vancouver) After almost a month out of the den, the BC Lions are back home this Saturday night to take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers presented by Purolator Tackle Hunger.
Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item in support of the Vancouver and Surrey Food Banks. Cash donations are even better with each dollar collected equal to two pounds of food. As in past years, Lions wives and girlfriends will be situated outside Gates A and H to help collect donations. In return for their generosity, fans can have their picture taken with the Grey Cup.
With warm and sunny weather in the forecast, there's lots to be excited about leading up to game outside BC Place too, click here for a rundown.
The Lions (1-2) look to bounce back against the Bombers (2-2) in a key early season West Division tilt Saturday night. Former Leos Adam Bighill and Andrew Harris enjoyed highlight reel performances this past weekend in Winnipeg and they'll likely be in high-gear again this week for the rematch.
The Lions meanwhile will need a huge effort in all three phases of the game to get back in the win column. The two clubs have certainly combined for some memorable games at BC Place with the Leos winning a 45-42 thriller last season.
It's time once again to Tackle Hunger and cheer on a Lions team looking to feast on Saturday night.
Single game tickets for all BC Lions regular season home games are on sale now including kid's tickets for just $10 per game and the new Beach Party Zone for only $20.
