Lightning Derail Express in Game 1 of Round 2 Playoff Series

(WINDSOR, Ontario) - Tonight, in front of 1,025 spectators at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, the London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express, 95-87. This was the first game in the Round Two best of seven playoff series.

"We played great defence tonight. They made a little run, but we maintained our composure and we stuck together as a team," said Garrett Williamson. "Winning on the road is huge for us."

Tonight's top scorer was Tony Bennett with 23 points and seven assists, followed by Garrett Williamson with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Jermaine Johnson who chipped in the night's only double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Lightning will be back in Windsor on Wednesday, March 23 to play Game Two of the '401 Battle' playoff series.

The Lightning will play their first home game of the series on Thursday, March 20 at Budweiser Gardens. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are on sale now through the Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
