Great Falls Voyagers News Release
The Chicago White Sox announced the following move Wednesday, affecting the Great Falls Voyagers roster:
- LHP Alex Katz transferred from the AZL White Sox to Great Falls
A 27th round pick by the White Sox this year out of St. John's, Katz has made six appearances in his young minor league career, all out of the bullpen for the AZL White Sox. Over his six outings, the lefty owns a 4.00 ERA, and has struck out nine in nine innings of work with one save. The New Hyde Park, N.Y., native pitched three years with the Red Storm, posting a 5-6 record and 3.96 ERA in 125.0 career innings, prior to his selection in last month's draft.
Katz will be assigned a number upon his arrival.
The Voyagers active roster sits at 32 players, with three on the disabled list.
