This past week the Premier Lacrosse League announced a two-week quarantined and fan-less tournament scheduled to run from July 25th - August 9th, the NBA G League's Wisconsin Herd exercised the second-year option on Head Coach Chase Buford's contract, and the ECHL Rapid City Rush agreed to a contract extension with Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Daniel Tetrault. Highlights from this week are from the Premier Lacrosse League, National Lacrosse League, NBA G League, NBL Canada, Women's National Basketball Association, ECHL, Major League Soccer, Southern League and Canadian Football League.
Premier Lacrosse League
The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announces the return of world class lacrosse with the launch of the PLL Championship Series Powered by Ticketmaster, a two-week quarantined and fan-less tournament scheduled to run from July 25th - August 9th. The announcement was first made on TODAY by PLL Co-Founder, CMO and Atlas LC midfielder Paul Rabil.
So it's fully quarantined, which means we're rolling out a robust medical protocol." League Co-Founders Paul and Mike Rabil lay out what the Championship Series will look like this summer.

Major League Lacrosse
The 2020 MLL Draft, presented by Cascade is in the books. The 20th Collegiate Draft in MLL history was headlined by record-breaking faceoff TD Ierlan of Yale, the school with the most draft picks (5). The Barrage had the most MLL Draft picks with 10, followed by Denver and New York with nine, Chesapeake with eight, Connecticut with seven and Boston with five.

NBA G League
The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has exercised the second-year option on Head Coach Chase Buford. Thus far, Buford has led the Herd to a 33-10 record, which serves as the best mark in the G League. Aside from owning the league's best record, the 33 wins have matched the franchise's win total from its first two seasons combined.

National Basketball League of Canada
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Antwon Lillard of the Island Storm has been named Rookie of the Year for the 2019-20 season. The first year forward was a key contributor for the Storm this season and was a regular fixture in the starting lineup, starting in 18 of the 22 games he appeared in. Lillard averaged 15.5 points per game while pulling down 8.8 rebounds per contest.

Women's National Basketball Association
Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and former WNBA player and coach, Nancy Lieberman, checked in to answer some questions!
The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, announced that the team has agreed to a contract extension with Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Daniel Tetrault. The extension is for two years with a mutual option for a third year.

Ontario Hockey League
The Ontario Hockey League is pleased to recognize Ottawa 67's forward Marco Rossi who claims the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as the League's Top Scorer presented by Kubota Canada. The draft eligible centreman finished atop the CHL scoring charts with 120 points including 39 goals, 81 assists and an impressive plus/minus rating of plus-69 over just 53 games.

Fayetteville Woodpeckers President Mark Zarthar has accepted an offer from the Philadelphia Flyers to join the team's front office as Senior Vice President of Marketing. The 2020 Carolina League All-Star Game presented by the Central Virginia Sports Commission has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lynchburg Hillcats were scheduled to host the event June 23, 2020.
