Las Vegas Aces To Partner eith Area High School Girls Basketball Teams  for Lace up Mentorship Program

January 7, 2019 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) - Las Vegas Aces News Release

Las Vegas Aces staff members and center Carolyn Swords will hand-deliver boxes with cookies, balloons, and a special invitation to area high school basketball teams to apply to the Lace Up program.

Lace Up is a mentorship program designed for high school girls basketball teams in the Clark County School District. Every high school girls basketball team will receive an invitation to apply by submitting a team essay and letter of recommendation from their coach. Three high school teams will be selected into the pilot program for the 2019 season beginning in February.

Lace Up teams will receive special one-on-one access to Aces players, financial literacy workshops, college & recruiting workshops, post-game socials and luncheons with the Aces, special access to an Aces camp or clinic, and recognition at an Aces game. In addition, the Aces will invite the Lace Up mentees to participate in a community service project.
