Las Vegas Aces News Release

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Aces President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Bill Laimbeer announced today that the team has re-signed All-Star guard Kayla McBride.

"We are obviously pleased that Kayla has chosen to sign a multi-year deal with the Aces," said Laimbeer. "She has proven to be a consistent scorer in the WNBA, and every year works on improving additional aspects of her game. She is very excited about our new franchise in Las Vegas, and the opportunity for our team to grow."

The San Antonio Stars made McBride the third overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft, and she has been the team's leading scorer in each of her four seasons.

Last year, the Notre Dame graduate averaged 15.4 points per game, while establishing career-highs in rebounding (4.1), assists (2.6), steals (1.1), and free throw percentage (.925).

For her career, McBride is averaging 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists, and she ranks among the top free throw shooters in league history, connecting on 88.3 percent.

One of three unanimous selections to the All-Rookie Team in 2014, the Erie, Pennsylvania native averaged 13.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in her first year in the league, while connecting on 39.6 percent of her shots from three-point range, and 84.6 percent from the charity stripe. McBride also finished third in Rookie of the Year balloting.

During her sophomore season, McBride was voted into the 2015 All-Star Game, finishing the year with averages of 13.8 points and 3.1 rebounds, while knocking down 37.3 percent of her shots from long range, and 87.9 percent of her free throw attempts.

An injury kept her out of the lineup for half the season in 2016, but McBride still averaged 17.1 points and 4.0 boards.

During the 2017-18 offseason, McBride is playing for Yakin Dogu in Turkey. She is averaging 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in Turkish League play, while making 51.9 percent of her shots from the floor, 35.6 percent from three-point range, and 86.5 percent from the free throw line.

In Euroleague competition, she is averaging a team-high 18.9 points and 48 rebounds, while knocking down 52.3 percent of her field goal attempts, 38.2 percent from long distance, and 90.6 percent from the free throw line.
