Laredo and McAllen Mayors Make Wager

LAREDO, Texas - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks got a big backer in the form of City of Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas in their first round CHL playoff series against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. With the series tied at one game apiece the Mayor of Laredo and McAllen have made a wager on the outcome of the best of seven match up. The Mayor who's team loses the series will host the other Mayor for one night hotel stay, provide a steak dinner, a tour of their city and wear the winning teams jersey for two entire city council meetings. Games Three and Four will be at the Dodge Arena this Friday and Saturday. Game Five will be back at the LEC on Monday at 7 p.m. Individual playoff game tickets are on sale at the LEC Box Office, online and at all Ticketmaster outlets. "I am good friends with Richard Cortez the Mayor of McAllen," said Mayor Salinas. "We decided that this would be a fun way to participate in the series. I am a big fan of the Bucks so we are placing a friendly wager on the outcome of the Bucks vs. Killer Bees series."
The wager must be fulfilled shortly after the conclusion of the series.
