
Knights Recall Neiszner From Las Vegas

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that they have recalled center Chris Neiszner from the Las Vegas Wranglers, their affiliate in the ECHL. Neiszner will join the team in time for its game against the Manitoba Moose tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Winnipeg.
Neiszner is in his second professional season. He has 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points and 39 penalty minutes in 46 games with Las Vegas this season. He also is tied for second on team with seven powerplay goals. During his rookie year, he played seven games for the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, earning one goal and one assist plus two penalty minutes. He scored his first AHL goal against Grand Rapids on January 26, 2006. He also played in 58 games for the Las Vegas Wranglers, scoring eleven goals and 20 assists for 31 points and 26 penalty minutes. He had eleven points including five goals in 13 playoff games that season. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons of junior hockey for the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League. In 286 career games, he scored 49 goals and added 52 assists for 101 points. He also had 20 points in 61 career playoff games. Neiszner was signed by the Flames as a free agent in July of 2005.

Following a game at Iowa on Friday night, the Knights will return to the Omaha Civic Auditorium Saturday February 17th for a 2:00 p.m. afternoon matinee versus the Peoria Rivermen.
Tickets for all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' games are on sale at the Omaha Civic Auditorium box office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets also are available through all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (402) 422-1212. Kids 12 and under get in free with a paid adult on tickets purchased after 5:00 p.m. Other restrictions apply.
