Frederick Keys News Release

On Saturday, April 2nd the Frederick Keys, class Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles will host their annual Fun Fest at Harry Grove Stadium from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Fun Fest marks the date that individual tickets for Frederick Keys' games go on sale. Fun Fest will also mark the first day that individual tickets and merchandise for the 2005 CloseCall America Carolina/California League All-Star Game will be available to the general public.

The day will kick-off at 10 a.m. as the Frederick Keys will audition musicians to perform the National Anthem before one of the Keys' 70 home games. Following the National Anthem auditions the Keys will introduce the team's new On-Field Emcee during a press conference, set to include comments by the new emcee, and Keys' General Manager Dave Ziedelis.

"Our Fun Fest is designed as a reward to all of our loyal fans," Ziedelis said. "We are thrilled to have such an event-filled day planned to help kick-off our 2005 season."

Fans in attendance will be able partake in the free activities offered during the day. The opportunity to have their picture taken in the Keys' Clubhouse, participate in a stadium-wide scavenger hunt or learn more about the running of team during "Behind the Scenes" stadium tours (12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.) will highlight the fan-related activities. The Giant Eagle Fun Zone will also be open free of charge to children attending the Fun Fest. Everyone in attendance will receive a ticket for a free hot dog and Pepsi-brand soft drink.

The Fun Fest takes place just nine days before the Keys get set to open their 2005 home schedule at Harry Grove Stadium against the Salem Avalanche on Monday, April 11, at 7:05 p.m.
