Kai Wagner scores his first goal of the season from a free-kick

CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union tied Chicago Fire FC 1-1 on Sunday night at Subaru Park. With the draw, the Union remain in 5th place in the Eastern Conference with 25 points. Early in the first half, defender Boris Sekulic provided the pivotal cross for Przemyslaw Frankowski to open the scoring. In the 36', the Union were awarded a free-kick just outside the box where Kai Wagner snuck it under the wall to tie it up before half. The Union outshot Chicago 25 to 4.

The Union are back home to take on Toronto FC at Subaru Park on Wednesday, August 4 (7:30 p.m. ET / PHL17).
