
Jonquel Jones Named to All-WNBA Second Team

New York - During halftime of Game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Connecticut Sun and Washington Mystics, the WNBA announced the All-WNBA First and Second Teams.
Jonquel Jones of the Connecticut Sun was one of five named to the All-WNBA Second Team.
Jones averaged 9.7 rebounds for her second rebounding title in four seasons, tied for the WNBA lead in blocked shots with 2.0 per game and contributed 14.6 points to help Connecticut finish with the league's second-best record.
Throughout the 2019 WNBA Finals, the Connecticut Sun center is averaging 17.7 points per game and 11 rebounds per game.
The 2019 All-WNBA First Team includes, Chicago guard Courtney Vandersloot, Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner, Los Angeles Sparks guard Chelsea Gray and Seattle Storm forward Natasha Howard. Joining Jones on the All-WNBA Second Team is Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike, Las Vegas Aces center Liz Cambage, Sky guard Diamond DeShields and Minnesota Lynx guard Odyssey Sims.?
Connecticut is down 2-1 in the best of five series to the Washington Mystics. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. in the Mohegan Sun Arena. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
