
Joe Fleming named to CFL All-Star team

(Calgary) - The Canadian Football League has announced the CFL All-Stars. These All-Star winners were selected by 45 voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) plus 10 broadcast media. For this ballot voters were asked to select players from Divisional All-Star teams to represent their club and their division as a League All-Star.
Defensive Lineman Joe Fleming was the lone Stampeder selected to the squad for the fourth time in his career. He was also named to the team in 2000 and 2001 with the Stampeders and back in 1998 with Winnipeg. Fleming finished the season 2nd in the league recording 11 quarterback sacks and also recording 33 defensive tackles.
Tonight Joe Fleming will be representing the Stampeder Football Club at the Rogers AT&T CFL Player Awards as the Western Representative for Most Outstanding Defensive Player. Stampeder reciever Wane McGarity will also be in attendance representing the west as the Special Teams Player of the year.
