Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - It's a bittersweet ending to the Odessa Jackalopes' season as fans witnessed record breaking performance from the team this season, as well as Sebastien Thinel capturing the CHL MVP honor for the first time in franchise history. But also the Jackalopes suffered a brutal 8-1 loss in game seven of the Southern Conference Finals against Texas to bring this years campaign to a close - one win shy of a birth in the President's Cup Finals.
Game 7 - Saturday at Texas, 8-1 Loss
Tyler Skworchinski scored the first three goals of the game for the Texas Brahmas, and that was only the beginning. Texas put up eight goals while Brett Jaeger held the Jackalopes to just one in the game. Texas won game seven and the series to represent the Southern Conference in the Ray Miron President's Cup Finals against Colorado.
Team Awards Banquet on Tuesday Night at 6:30 PM
Fans and friends are welcome to attend the banquet as there will be a live jersey auction along with the awards presentation. Admission is free for season ticket holders and $5 for non-season ticket holders. For more information call 432-552-7825. The Banquet will be held in Building âA' at the Ector County Coliseum.
