Jackie Young Leads USAB 3x3 to Pair of Dominating Wins First Day of 2019 World Beach Games

DOHA, QATAR - Jackie Young helped lead a balanced scoring attack Sunday morning, as the U.S. 3x3 Women's Basketball Team picked up a pair of Group A wins in day one of the World Beach Games.
In their first game, the U.S. upended the Dominican Republic, 22-5 (box score), holding the opposition to 13 percent shooting from the field including 0 for 9 from long distance. Napheesa Collier and Ruthy Hebard each scored seven points for the victors. Young scored three points as the U.S. connected on 65-percent of their shots from the field.
In their second game of the day, Young and company picked up a 22-4 win over Jordan (box score). Young scored a game-high tying six points in the victory, going six of eight from the field.
The U.S. takes on Russia, October 15 at 5 am PT in their final game of Group play. The Russians are also 2-0, having defeated the Dominican Republic, 19-10, and Jordan, 16-7.
