Friday: El Paso 2 @ Odessa 4 - Adam Armijo and John Perdion each had three-point nights as the Jackalopes won their home opener, 4-2 over the visiting Rhinos. El Paso took a 1-0 lead on a 1st period goal from Mark LaFrance. Odessa seized control in the 2nd period with goals from Justin Hughes, Emerson Goode, and Armijo. In the 3rd period, a goal from El Paso's AJ Reed made it 3-2, but a late goal from Perdion made it a 4-2 final score. Jackalopes goalie Gergely Orosz made 34 saves in the win, while Hunter Garvey made 32 saves in the loss.
Saturday: El Paso 1 @ Odessa 3 - Quentin Sigurdson made 25 saves to help the Jackalopes pick up a weekend home sweep of the Rhinos thanks to a 3-1 win on Saturday. The Jackalopes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st period thanks to goals from Tanyon Bajzer and Emerson Goode. The Rhinos made it a 2-1 game thanks to their lone goal in the 2nd period from Kolby Amici. The Jacks secured the win thanks to an empty-net goal in the 3rd period from Ryan Mansfield. Rhinos goalie Marko Belak made 29 saves in the loss.
