Isotopes Skipper Named Diamondbacks Coach
December 16, 2008 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
The tenure of Albuquerque Isotopes manager Lorenzo Bundy lasted roughly two months, as the skipper has been named first base coach of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the D'Backs announced today.
Bundy takes the place of former Arizona first base coach Lee Tinsley, who left to take the same position on the staff of new Seattle Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu. Prior to his two years at the helm of the Los Angeles Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas, Bundy spent four seasons in the Diamondbacks organization as a hitting coach.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have not unveiled a timeline for an announcement on a replacement for Bundy.
The Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will open up their 2009 campaign on April 9 and season tickets as well as mini-plans are on sale now.
