Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (74-58) play the opener of a four-game series against the West's second-place Louisville Bats (68-64). With a 7-6 come-from-behind win last night, the Pigs snapped a mini two-game skid and improved to 3-3 on this 10-game road trip. Lehigh Valley has also emerged victorious in five of its last eight contests, but remains just 32-34 since June 16 -- when they led the North by 5.0 games... The Bats -- Cincinnati's top affiliate -- have won seven of their last 10 affairs after dropping four straight games to fall to 61-61. Once 41-30, the Bats have gone just 27-34 since June 20...
RHP Brian Bass (6-9, 4.21) will start for LHV against RHP Daryl Thompson (3-1, 3.25).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
