Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
Down to their final 15 games of the regular season, the Pigs (66-63) play the opener of a two-game road series -- and Game Three of a four-game "home-and-home" series -- against the fifth-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (62-67)... With a 2-0 loss yesterday, the Pigs snapped their three-game winning streak against the RailRiders and split the series in Moosic, 2-1. Still, the Pigs have emerged victorious in six of their last nine overall and remain 13-9 in their last 22 contests... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- are just 8-13 in their last 21 contests after a 21-12 stretch to get back to .500 (54-54) on July 28... The Pigs won the first series between the clubs at Coca-Cola Park, 3-1, from June 13-16. These North Division foes will play one more home-and-home series August 28-31.
RHP Perci Garner (NR; 6-6, 4.30 in CLR) will start for LHV against RHP Chris Bootcheck (9-6, 3.67).
