Intimidators Fall 3-1 in Delmarva

Salisbury, MD - The Intimidators scored the first run but did not get the last laugh in Delmarva. Kannapolis fell 3-1 to the Shorebirds and dropped the five-game series three games to two.

Kannapolis scored the game's first run in the second inning. With one out, Sergio Morales doubled over the left fielder's, Matt Tucker, head. Jim Gallagher bounced one back to the mound and pitcher, Luis Noel threw the ball into centerfield allowing Morales to head to third and Gallagher to head to second. Joe Persichina stepped in and drilled a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Morales for the Intimidators' lone run.

On the mound, starter Juan Moreno allowed three runs in four innings of work. In relief, Adam Bowling tossed three scoreless innings and Wander Perez struck out the side in his only inning of work.

The Intimidators head back to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium tonight. Kannapolis faces Hagerstown to begin a four-game homestand on Fieldcrest Cannon Reunion Night tomorrow night. First pitch tomorrow is set for 7:05pm with the gates opening at 6:00pm. The first 1,000 fans threw the gates receive a plant 1 replica.
