IFL Week 2 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2018 IFL season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jake Medlock (QB, Cedar Rapids Titans)

The Cedar Rapids Titans won their 2018 home opener in Week 2 by defeating the Green Bay Blizzard 47-39. The victory, led by QB Jake Medlock, ended the team's eight game home losing streak. In two games this season, Medlock's accurate arm has made him one of the more exciting players this season. Against the Blizzard, Medlock (6'3 Florida International) completed 77 percent of his passes (17/22) for 223 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, he also added 13 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground. The Titans QB leads the IFL with 5 touchdown passes going into Week 3 and has yet to throw an interception this season. The Titans travel to face the Sioux Falls Storm on Monday, March 12.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Moses White (LB, Cedar Rapids Titans)

In his first-ever IFL game, Cedar Rapids Titans LB Moses White's defensive effort helped turn the Green Bay Blizzard's offensive attack into a slight drizzle in Week 2. Manning the center of the defense, White (6'1,Shaw University) was in and around almost every play as he amassed 12 tackles against Green Bay. White and the Cedar Rapids Titans will have their hands full in Week 3 as they face off against 2017 United Conference Champions Sioux Falls Storm.

In his first road game since returning to the Blizzard after four seasons away, IFL Hall of Fame KR B.J Hill showed that he is still one of the most explosive return men in the IFL. In the third quarter of the team's game against the Titans, Hill (5'9, Ball State Univ.) busted off a 53 yard kickoff return to the Titans' two yard line. The prime field position helped the Blizzard score a touchdown two plays later. Hill proceeded to finish the game with four returns for 112 yards with an average of 28 yards per return. In addition to his return capabilities, Hill also added five tackles and a half a sack. Hill currently leads all IFL players with 234 all-purpose yards. Hill and the Green Bay Blizzard stay on the road in Week 3 as the team plays the Nebraska Danger on March 11.
