IceRays Opponents for NAHL Showcase Announced

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced Wednesday the schedule for the 2018 NAHL Showcase, including games between the Corpus Christi IceRays and opponents from outside of the South Division. The annual event, at which all 24 NAHL teams play four regular-season games, will take place at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn.
CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS SCHEDULE - 2018 NAHL SHOWCASE
-Wednesday, Sept. 19 vs. New Jersey Titans (4:30 p.m.)
-Thursday, Sept. 20 vs. Johnstown Tomahawks (5:00 p.m.)
-Friday, Sept. 21 at Minot Minotauros (10:30 a.m.)
-Saturday, Sept. 22 at Aberdeen Wings (10:00 a.m.)
The NAHL Showcase is a premier event for hockey fans, coaches and scouts. Over 9,000 people attend annually, including more than 350 scouts from the professional, collegiate and junior ranks. Dozens of players traditionally receive NCAA Division I opportunities during and following their participation in the NAHL Showcase.
The full 2018 NAHL Showcase game schedule, along with hotel, car rental, broadcast and additional information is available at nahlshowcase.com. These four games mark the only time in the regular season the IceRays will face the Titans, Tomahawks, Minotauros and Wings.
The IceRays will play 28 home games at American Bank Center beginning Friday, Sep. 28 against the defending Robertson Cup Champions, the Shreveport Mudbugs. Prior to the NAHL Showcase and the home opener, the IceRays will visit the Mudbugs for two games, including the 2018-19 season opener on Thursday, Sept. 13.
