PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers have unveiled a special logo and jersey commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Pensacola Hockey in 2016. Hockey is the longest running professional sport that has ever been based in the Pensacola area.

The logo features both the current Pensacola Ice Flyers logo and the original logo of the Pensacola Ice Pilots, Pensacola's first professional hockey franchise and formerly of the ECHL. It brings together colors that both teams used. The logo is predominantly navy from the Ice Flyers logo with grey and white accents found in both logos and the blue teal found in the Ice Pilots logo.

The logo will be on the sleeves and back of a specialty jersey. The Ice Flyers will wear the jerseys for the final two home games on April 1 & 2 when they face the Huntsville Havoc on the 20th Anniversary Weekend presented by Tom Thumb. On the crest of the jersey will be the logo of the Ice Pilots with the Ice Flyers logo featured on the upper chest. The names of both teams will be printed on the collar of the jerseys as well. Immediately following the April 2nd game, the commemorative game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off.
