Ice Flyers Announce Coach Bes Will Not Return Next Season

May 29, 2018 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release

PENSACOLA, FL. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers have announced today that Head Coach Jeff Bes will not be returning for a second season with the club.

Bes and owner Greg Harris have decided to mutually part ways for Jeff to pursue some other options. "I want to thank Jeff on behalf of the entire organization for everything he did this past season," said owner Greg Harris. "I wish him nothing but the best for his future plans."

Bes has coached in the SPHL for six seasons. He was the bench boss for three seasons in Biloxi, Miss. for the Mississippi Surge before the team folded. He then coached for two seasons for the Fayetteville FireAntz in North Carolina. Bes joined the Ice Flyers in July of 2017.

"The search for a new coach will be a quick process and I plan to announce a new coach very shortly," added Harris.
