Houston Dynamo Face Montreal Impact Tonight in Key Eastern Conference Meeting

HOUSTON (Saturday, August 24, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo will take on the Montreal Impact tonight at 6 p.m. CT from Stade Saputo in Montreal. Tonight is Houston's third game in eight days - in three countries.

Tonight's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston Plus (5:30 p.m. pregame show). The game can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).

The Dynamo (10-7-6; 36 points) are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, two points behind the Impact (11-7-5; 38 points).

The clubs meet tonight after each played midweek road games in the CONCACAF Champions League. Houston secured a 0-0 draw at W Connection on Tuesday in Trinidad and Tobago. The Impact fell to CD Heredia, 1-0, on Wednesday in Guatemala City.

Tonight's meeting is the second of three this season between the Eastern Conference rivals. The Impact earned a 2-0 home win in the first game on June 19. The final game between the clubs is Oct. 4 in Houston.

Montreal is led by Italian forward Marco Di Vaio, who has 13 goals, third most in MLS. The Impact also features Italian defender and 2006 World Cup winner Alessandro Nesta and midfielders Patrice Bernier (6 assists) and Justin Mapp (5 assists).

The Impact added Argentine midfielder Hernan Bernardello as a Designated Player on July 23. Bernardello, 27, has played in Argentina and spent four seasons with Almeria in Spain's La Liga.

The Dynamo return to Houston to host Arabe Unido of Panama in Champions League play on Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium.
