(Central Islip, N.Y., Jan. 30, 2006) - The Long Island Ducks, members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, are currently seeking members of the community that are interested in becoming host families for Ducks players for the 2006 season.

"Host families play an integral part in putting together the best team possible," says general manager Michael Hirsch. "Families that have hosted players in the past have had unbelievable experiences. Our host families have been a big part of making Long Island the premier place to play in the league."

By welcoming a player into their home, fans get the chance to become involved with the Ducks on a personal level. Many of the players that have stayed with host families have built strong relationships with members of the family.
