Hoppers Announce 2009 Season Schedule

(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers have announced the 2009 season schedule, which starts on April 9th at NewBridge Bank Park against the Greenville Drive.

The season runs from April 9 through September 7 and features a total of 140 games, 70 home and 70 away.

Game times will remain the same for the upcoming season with Monday through Saturday games starting at 7:00pm and Sunday games at 5:00pm.

Other promotional dates for the season are being finalized and will be released at a later date.

"We are diligently working to add promotions and enhance the fan experience even more for next season," said Greensboro Grasshoppers President Donald Moore. "The team has a favorable schedule and we plan to make the most of it."

The Grasshoppers have welcomed over 1,750,000 fans to NewBridge Bank Park, becoming the only Class A team in the history of Minor League Baseball to draw over 400,000 fans and grow its attendance for four straight years in a new ballpark. They are the proud recipients of both the South Atlantic League's Club Merit Award and the General Manager of the Year Award for the past four years.
