Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Hooks begin a six-game homestand Wednesday night against Texas League North Division foes Arkansas and Springfield.
A Sunday Blue-Out, Hooks Kids' Hampers, Kids' Lunchboxes and Camo Caps headline the action in the next-to-last homestand of 2008.
Here's a look at it all, night-by-night:
Wednesday, August 6, Hooks vs. Arkansas Travelers, 7:05 - The first 1,500 kids 12-and-under receive a Hooks Kids' Hamper, courtesy of Peerless Cleaners.
Brooks' Buffet is an all-you-can-eat meal in Kieschnick's Korner. A general admission ticket, hot dogs with all the trimmings, nachos, popcorn, soda, tea and water are included for $14 per person. Draft beer (24 oz.) is an additional $5.50.
Buffet diners desiring reserved seat tickets may upgrade for an additional $5, subject to availability.
Present a Whataburger receipt at the box office to purchase up to four reserved tickets at half-price, subject to availability.
Christian recording artists Debra Scott & Prophecy perform in Kieschnick's Korner from 5:45-6:45.
Ole Sheldon and Sergio Perez sign autographs at Hook, Line & Sinker between 6-6:15. This session is the first of 13 sponsored by H-E-B and Sharpie.
Hooks Summer Reading Program participants are encouraged to line up in the plaza outside Hook, Line & Sinker for a pregame parade around the Whataburger Field warning track at 6:30.

It's also Blue-Out at Whataburger Field, with the first 2,500 adults receiving Go Blue shirts from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. TAMUCC faculty, students and staff can purchase $5 reserved seat tickets and pick up free general admission tickets upon presentation of their $andDollars$ cards.

Hooks Kids' Lunchboxes for the first 1,500 children 12-and-under, presented by Mrs. Baird's.
As is the case each Sunday during the season, Rusty's Kids Club members are invited to a pregame party in the plaza just inside the Right Field gate. RKC members present their club card for admission.
Inflatables, carnival games and free chocolate milk from Hygeia Dairies highlight the RKC party.
