Honkers Bolster Bullpen with Two Relievers

ROCHESTER, MN. - The Rochester Honkers today announced that two New York relievers, Marc Bisogno and Anthony Rodriguez, will be joining their 2019 team.

Bisogno is a 6'0", 175-pound pitcher from Staten Island, New York. He will join the Honkers after his junior season at Fordham University. This year, he's held opposing batters to a 0.238 batting average and hasn't allowed an earned run in his last four appearances. As a sophomore, he toed the rubber four times and twice held opponents scoreless. His first year at Fordham, he made 10 appearances and once again didn't allow a run in half of his outings. Bisogno attended Xavier High School where he unfortunately missed his senior season with an injury. However, his junior season was very successful as he earned team MVP honors. He posted a 1.74 earned run Average (ERA) in 48 ? innings on the mound, while striking out 55 batters and holding opponents to a 0.185 batting average. On top of that, he lead his team in most offensive categories, including batting average, slugging percentage, doubles, and triples.

Rodriguez is a 5'10", 190-pound pitcher from Bronx, New York. He comes to Rochester following his freshman season at Monroe College. He transferred there from North Carolina A&T University. He's made three appearances this season and only allowed two hits. The southpaw got his first collegiate strikeout on March 3. Rodriguez attended high school at Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice. There he played varsity baseball all four years. His passion for sports is evident on the mound and in the classroom as he's majoring in Sports Management.

The Honkers will open up the 2019 campaign on May 28 when they host the St. Cloud Rox on Opening Night at Mayo Field. Season tickets and new all-you-can-eat ticket packages are available for purchase right now at or by calling the Honkers front office at 507-289-1170.
