Honkers Add a Pair of Catchers

ROCHESTER, MN. - The Rochester Honkers are happy to announce the two players who will be manning the backstop during the 2019 season: Logan Denholm and Ryan Wrobleski. 

Denholm is a 6'1", 210-pound catcher who returns for his second season as a Honker. Last summer, he hit a .217 batting average with 4 home runs and 16 runs batted in (RBIs). As a redshirt junior at University of California-Davis, he's currently posting a .317 batting average with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. The native of El Dorado Hills, California hit .226, with seven doubles, three home runs, and 23 RBIs as a redshirt sophomore. He showcased his defensive prowess by throwing out eight would-be base stealers. At Oak Ridge High School, he earned First-team All-Metro and All-Sierra Foothill League selections as a senior. That year, he hit .376 with four home runs and 25 RBIs and helping his team to a league title. 

Wrobleski is a 6'0", 185-pound catcher who returns to Minnesota after playing baseball for four years at Eden Prairie High School. He joins the Honkers following his freshman season at North Iowa Area Community College. So far, he's had a successful first year as he has the highest batting average (.432) and most home runs (3) on his team. Wrobleski has also accounted for nine RBIs and 10 runs through just 10 games. He offers some added flexibility as he has experience as an infielder too. He's already committed to continuing his baseball career at Division I power Dallas Baptist University in 2020. At Eden Prairie High School, he helped his team become state champions in 2017.
