On Saturday, it's the return of the First Responders Night Presented By ER Now. There will be several booths and vehicle displays on the concourse as well as a vehicle parade during the first intermission. First Responders can get free tickets to the game, while family members pay just $8. Tickets for First Responders and their families are available online at www.amarillobulls.com/1stresponders. It's also the 2nd of two Scout Nights with discounted tickets available for troops and packs.

THE SERIES: It's the final two meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Shreveport Mudbugs. The Bulls have managed just one point, an overtime loss, in the previous six match-ups:
DEADLINE DEALS: The Amarillo Bulls and the Shreveport Mudbugs were busy with deals prior to the NAHL Trade Deadline. Bulls Defenseman Quinn Warmuth has been traded to the Coulee Region Chill. In 88 games with the Bulls in nearly two seasons, the Olmstead Falls, Ohio native (Cleveland area) had two goals and 16 assists for 18 points. The Bulls have also sent Alex Borowiec to the Philly Little Flyers of the EHL for cash considerations and have added defenseman Mick Heneghan and forward Nic Griebenow.
The Mudbugs have dealt forward Zachary Faremouth to the New Jersey Titans and defenseman Alex Spencer to the Minnesota Wilderness.
ACROSS THE SOUTH: Action in the South Division begins this evening as the Corpus Christi IceRays entertain the Lone Star Brahmas at American Bank Center. The two teams will play again on Friday. The Topeka RoadRunners and the Odessa Jackalopes will not play this weekend.
WHAT IS AT STAKE: The Amarillo Bulls trail the Corpus Christi IceRays by seven points for the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division. The games in hand have been drastically reduced as the Bulls just have one game in hand on the IceRays, but the two teams will play six more times before the end of the season.
NEWS AND NOTES: Goaltender Jason Grande leads the NAHL in minutes played at 1,750 and is second in saves at 833. The Bulls have won seven times when they have led at home after 20 or 40 minutes this season. It is interesting to note that the Shreveport Mudbugs have had their struggles on the road this year and have posted a 3-3-1-0 record when behind after two periods. The Mudbugs have scored 50 third period goals, and lead in the NAHL in goals against with a mark of 1.88 and fourth in shots against at 26.20.
BULLS ALUMNI NOTEBOOK: On Monday, the Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced that Alaska Nanooks hockey's sophomore goaltender Anton Martinsson was Goaltender of the Week, Martinsson backstopped Alaska in both Friday and Saturday's games against FSU to help the Nanooks earn their second WCHA sweep of the season. The sophomore from Klippan, Sweden had the best save percentage (.932) and lowest goals-against average (1.50) among conference goaltenders that appeared in both games last weekend. Martinson combined for 41 saves on the weekend, turning away 23 shots in Friday's game before making 18 on Saturday. This is Martinsson's second WCHA weekly award of his career, as he also earned the same honor on Dec. 11 following the conference sweep at Alaska Anchorage.
