Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-3 Tuesday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome to extend their winning streak to five games.

Cody Sylvester (1g, 2a) and Victor Rask (1g, 2a) both recorded three-point efforts for Calgary, while Greg Chase, Jake Virtanen, Chase Clayton and Calder Brooks also scored in the win. Sylvester, named both the CHL and Denny's WHL Player of Week for the week ending March 10, now has 15 points (6g, 9a) in his last five games.

The line of Hunter Shinkaruk (1g, 2a), Logan McVeigh (2g, 1a) and Curtis Valk (2a) registered all eight points for the visitors in the loss.

Chris Driedger made 31 saves in the Calgary net to record his fifth win in as many starts.

The Hitmen will wrap up the 2012-13 regular season with a home-and-home set against the Kootenay Ice, traveling to Cranbrook on Friday, March 15, before hosting the Ice on Saturday, March 16. Puck drop is 7 p.m. for the ENMAX Energy Night and Fan Appreciation Jersey Off Our Back game.
