Hitmen Bombard Rebels, 5-1

Red Deer, AB - The Calgary Hitmen scored five unanswered goals en route to a 5-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday night at the ENMAX Centrium.

Trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes, the Hitmen scored four times in the middle frame. Mark Kastelic led the way with a pair of markers. He now has six goals in his last four games to give the captain a team-leading 36 on the season.

Carson Focht and Kaden Elder also found the back of the net for the visitors before James Malm completed the scoring with a third period tally. Kastelic added one assist and Elder two helpers to finish the game with three points each.

Calgary outshot the Rebels 38-24 and extended their point streak to six games posting a record of 5-0-1 in that span. Since December 1, the Hitmen have gone.16-5-2-0.

Calgary will now return home to resume "The Corral Series" presented by Adrenalin Source for Sports.

The Hitmen will wear Calgary Cowboys jerseys on Wednesday, Feb. 6 against the Regina Pats and Calgary Wranglers jerseys on Friday, Feb. 9 against the Prince Albert Raiders. Both games are 7:00 p.m. starts in the Stampede Corral.
