
Hisey sparks Otters to win

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario â Rob Hisey scored two goals and two assists to lead the ERIE OTTERS to a 4-3 win over the Peterborough Petes in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 2,854 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Hisey extended his point-scoring streak to a career-high 10 games (5-16-21), the longest of the season by an OTTER.
Chris Campoli added a goal and an assist in the win. Campoli's third period goal, his 14th of the season, turned out to be the game winner and tied the franchise record for goals in a season by a defenseman. Carlo Colaiacovo scored 14 last year.
Geoff Platt netted the other OTTERS goal, extending his point-scoring streak to nine games (9-5-14).
ERIE improved to 23-18-6-1 on the season and moved into sixth place in the Western Conference standings after Owen Sound dropped a 5-2 decision in Windsor tonight.
Brad Bonello, Daniel Ryder and Jamie Tardiff scored for the Petes, who saw their three-game unbeaten streak come to an end. Peterborough is now 17-26-2-3 on the season.
The OTTERS led 2-1 after one and 3-1 heading into the third. Peterborough tied the game early in the third before Campoli struck with just over five minutes remaining in regulation for the win.
Peterborough out shot the OTTERS 26-22 in the game as Josh Disher posted the victory.
The three stars of the game were 1. Hisey; 2. Ryder and 3. Campoli.
The OTTERS return to action tomorrow night (Friday) when they head to Oshawa to face the Generals (17-21-8-1 and winners of four straight). The game can be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 7:20 p.m.
The next OTTERS home game takes place this Saturday when the Sarnia Sting (24-16-4-4) visit the Tullio Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
