Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The Toledo Mud Hens will begin their third homestand of the season on Tuesday, May 17th facing two International League North rivals in eight games in as many days. Toledo kicks off with a four-game series against Syracuse Tuesday, May 17th through Friday, May 20th. The Hens then follow it up with another four-game series against Rochester, Saturday, May 21st through Tuesday, May 24th. Toledo will then host the Columbus Clippers on Saturday, May 28 & Sunday, May 29. Entering Thursday, Toledo is 0.5 games up on Indianapolis in the IL West standings with a record of 19-12.

Tuesday, May 17 (Syracuse 1st pitch @ 6:30 pm) â Lamisil will have an informational booth on St. Clair street.
Wednesday, May 18 (Syracuse 1st pitch @ 10:30 am) â It's the second School Day presented by Pepsi with gates opening an hour and a half early at 9:00am. Students will receive a free school folder upon exit. The Chick-Fil-A Cow will be on hand. The Anthem performer will be Toledo Christian School's 21-member Canticle.
Thursday, May 19 (Syracuse 1st pitch @ 10:30 am) â It's the third School Day presented by Pepsi with gates opening an hour and a half early at 9:00am. Students will receive a free school folder upon exit. The Chick-Fil-A Cow makes its return.
Friday, May 20 (Syracuse 1st pitch @ 7:00 pm) â Get ready to laugh because Myron the Noodleman will make an appearance at Fifth Third Field. Post-game activities include Fireworks presented by the Pharm and the newest hot spot at FTF, the Coop-A-Cabana, will stay open for one hour after the game.
Saturday, May 21 (Rochester 1st pitch @ 7:00 pm) â A Scout Parade begins at 6:20 with the first Scout Sleepover of the 2005 season following the game. Whether it be running, skipping or bungee jumping the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services wants you to share your verb with them as the What's your VERB? campaign visits the ballpark with activities beginning two hours prior to the game on St. Clair Street. Saturday is also Strike Out a Stroke Night with the American Heart Association. Post-Game Fireworks will be presented by the Pharm.
Sunday, May 22 (Rochester 1st pitch @ 2:00 pm) â Its Autograph Sunday as two Mud Hens players will be in section 119 from 1:15-1:45 to meet and greet fans as well as AAA Northwest Ohio Safety Patroller Day at Fifth Third Field with a Safety Patroller Parade at 1:20. Cartoon Networks' Cow and Chicken will be on hand presented by Buckeye CableSystem, the What's your VERB? campaign returns. Following the game, Kids can Run the Bases presented by Max and Erma's.
Monday, May 23 (Rochester 1st pitch @ 6:30 pm) âMonday is Deaf Awareness Night with professional boxer Dallas Vargas throwing the ceremonial first pitch. Upon entering, fans will receive a Pigeon Forge discount card and a registration card for the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. The Verizon Wireless V-Team will also be at the ballpark.
Tuesday, May 24 (Rochester 1st pitch @ 10:30 am) â It's School Day once again presented by Pepsi with gates opening an hour and a half early at 9:00am. Students will receive a free school folder. The St. Joan of Arc Bell Choir will be performing the National Anthem and the Chick-Fil-A Cow will be on hand.
Saturday, May 28 (Columbus 1st pitch @ 7:00 pm) â Its National Hamburger Night at Fifth Third Field and The Toledo Blade will be on hand. A Scout Parade will begin at 6:20 and after the game, it's the second of the Mud Hens Scout Sleepovers. Immediately following the game the Pharm lights up the sky with Post-Game Fireworks.
Sunday, May 29 (Columbus 1st pitch @ 6:00 pm) â Autograph Sunday! Two selected Mud Hens players will be signing autographs from 5:15-5:45 in section 119. Medical College of Ohio's vocal performing group Docapella will be singing the National Anthem. Kids get the chance to meet Cartoon Network's Droopy Dog presented by Buckeye CableSystem with the opportunity to Run the Bases after the game sponsored by Max and Erma's. Buckeye CableSystem and the Pharm present Post-Game Fireworks.
