Havoc Ink Rookie Goaltender Max Milosek to Tryout Agreement

July 9, 2018 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE - The Huntsville Havoc announced today that collegiate standout goaltender Max Milosek has earned a spot on the 2018 training camp roster.

"We're excited to add Max and look forward to seeing what he can do at training camp in October," said Havoc Head Coach Glenn Detulleo. "He had an excellent college career with an elite program and brings a very competitive attitude. He should fit right in to our team culture."

Milosek (6-0,194) just completed his senior season as an alternate captain at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point, where he helped lead the Pointers to a fourth-consecutive NCAA Division III playoff berth. During his collegiate career, the native of Lapeer, Michigan, played 78 regular season games, recording more than 1,700 saves with a record of 54 wins, 15 losses and 8 ties.

"I'm ecstatic about joining a team in the Deep South, especially such a quality franchise in Huntsville," said Milosek. "I have heard nothing but great things about this town. I came from a winning culture in college and to move on to a professional team that also has one is amazing. I can't wait to get started!"

In 2016, the keeper earned All-Tournament honors as Milosek, alongside Havoc forward Kyle Sharkey, helped bring the NCAA national championship in men's ice hockey back to UW-SP. The 25-year-old finished his collegiate career with a 2.10 goals-against-average and saved 91.4 percent of shots faced.

The Havoc will honor the President's Cup winners by raising the championship banner at the first home game of the 2018-19 season on Friday, November 9.
