Clearwater Threshers News Release

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Darick Hall and Henri Lartigue each went yard in the second inning on Saturday night, but Bradenton put up nine runs over the next three innings to send the Threshers to their eighth consecutive loss, 9-5 at Spectrum Field.

Hall homered for the third straight night, upping his league-leading total to five across the first 10 games. The first baseman has gone yard four times over the last three games.

Clearwater (1-9) put up a four-spot against Bradenton starter Cam Vieaux (2-0) in the second inning.

Hall opened the frame with a solo homer out to right, and Austin Listi followed with a single to left. After Edgar Cabral's grounder toward the hole at shortstop resulted in an infield single and a throwing error on Adrian Valerio, the Threshers had two runners in scoring position with nobody out.

Lartigue worked a seven-pitch at-bat, then lifted one just beyond the wall in left for his first long ball of the season, a three-run homer that gave Clearwater an early 4-0 advantage.

Bradenton (8-2) bounded back in the third, when Adrian Valerio reached on an infield hit and Bligh Madriss lifted a two-run home run off starter Alejandro Requena (0-1) to cut the lead in half.

Hunter Owen brought it down to one with a solo homer to start the fourth, and after Tyler Gffney was hit by a pitch with one out, Arden Pabst doubled him home to tie the game. Pabst took third on the throw home, and would score on a wild pitch to put the Marauders on top.

Bradenton broke it open with four more in the fifth off reliever Jakob Hernandez, keyed by a two-run home run from Albert Baur that made it 9-4.

Clearwater's final run came in the fifth, when Adam Haseley's RBI grounder pushed across Mickey Moniak to make it a 9-5 game.

The series finale will take place on Sunday as the Threshers host the Bradenton Marauders at 1 p.m.
