Grizzlies Issue 8 Qualifying Offers for 2011-2012

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley today announced that he has issued qualifying offers to eight players for the 2011-2012 season. Players who signed contracts prior to this past season with either the Calgary Flames or any other AHL teams are not eligible to be qualified by Utah.

Forwards

Kevin Deeth (Team's leading scorer in 2010-2011 with 12 goals and 38 assists for 50 points in 66 games. Had 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in 8 playoff games.)

Paul McIlveen (Two goals and six assists for eight points in 10 regular season games after being acquired from Cincinnati. Had two goals and six assists for eight points in eight playoff games.)

David Marshall (Acquired from Wheeling in February where he had 22 points in 28 games. Played in 54 AHL games in 2010-11, including 11 playoff games with Wilkes-Barre Scranton.)

Igor Gongalsky (Acquired from Greenville in December. Finished the year in the AHL with Portland where he had four goals, six assists and 77 penalty minutes in 54 games.)

Samson Mahbod (Joined Utah for playoffs after totaling 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 47 ECHL regular season games.)

Defensemen

Matt Clarke (Had 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points in 64 regular season games in 2010-2011.)

Brendan Milnamow (Had one goal and nine assists for 10 points in 57 regular season ECHL games in 2010-2011.)

David Schulz (Had one goal and eight assists for nine points in 49 regular season games in 2010-2011.)
