Griffin Peene 2020 MLL Draft Prospect
May 1, 2020 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release
Boston, MA - Griffin Peene did not play his freshman year in order to complete remotely piloted aircraft training and expeditionary survival and escape training. 2018 he transitioned onto the team, earning time in 3 games. 2019 Peene earned a role on the defense, contributing consistently. 2020 was set to be Peene's year. He was selected as a captain, he helped Air Force stun nation in their season opener when the Falcons took down Duke and he started all seven games. Unfortunately, Peene was not able to put together a full season of highlight reels for MLL teams this year. It is up to MLL coaches to now decide if Peene's size, leadership and improvement year-over-year is enough to earn him a spot on their roster.
Coverage of the Collegiate Draft Presented by Cascade will be held during MLL Draft Primetime, starting at 7:30 pm EDT (5:30 pm MDT). The draft will be conducted remotely, via a teleconference. Results will be released on a rolling basis via the league's and teams' social media platforms.
