Greg Element Named Peterborough Petes Local Minor Hockey Volunteer of the Week

(Peterborough, ON) - Greg Element, Coach for the U-9 Team 3 Petes with the Peterborough Hockey Association (PHA) is recognized as this week's exceptional minor hockey volunteer. The Petes want to celebrate local minor hockey volunteers for their contribution to the planning, organizing and execution of local minor hockey's return to the play this season.

Element has spent 10 years coaching players of all skill levels ranging from house league to AA, and age groups from tyke to bantam. He's described as being a firm coach who is well respected in the locker room and maintains a great bond with players. Players and parents alike have a deep appreciation for his coaching philosophy.

"He's known for creating an environment that encourages young athletes to learn and develop on and off the ice," says Valerie Gagnon, nominator of Element. "He creates a positive and fun learning space that fosters a life-long love of the game."

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations for their additional time and effort to ensure a safe return to hockey this season.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form .
