Grauer Gets Signed Again

Knoxville Ice Bears News Release

Knoxville, TENN. - The Knoxville Ice Bears announced Monday Head Coach Jeff Carr has signed Eliot Grauer to his 2018-2019 roster.

Grauer, 25, in just one professional season, has already established himself as one of the most pure goal scorers in the SPHL. In 2012, he was chosen fifth overall in the NAHL entry draft; at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point (NCAA III), Eliot put up 63 points in 74 games played. Grauer averaged one point per game last season (21 goals and 21 assists), second on the team, behind the 2018 Kevin Swider Scoring Trophy winner Berkley Scott (70 points), earning a spot on the 2017-2018 SPHL All-Rookie Team.

"He's a 200-foot player," coach Carr said of Eliot. "He was lethal on the power play last season - both ends of the ice - and he'll definitely see more ice time this season, especially on special teams."

Despite major, nagging injuries over the past three seasons, Grauer has still been a consistent scorer and respected team leader. Coach Carr and the Ice Bears will rely on Eliot to continue this trend and take over more of the goal scoring responsibilities this season.
