Gluttony Night Returns on Tuesday, August 16

(Reading, PA) -- Attention all hungry fans! Gluttony Night is back for one night only.

The Reading Phillies - the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies since 1967- the longest affiliation in all of baseball, are looking for hungry fans to come out to America's Classic Ballpark on Tuesday, August 16 and fill their bellies with all-you-can-eat food for just $7, as Gluttony Night returns to Baseballtown.

VIST Financial Plaza gates are set to open at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and fans 21-years-old and older can enjoy Happy Hour (5:00 - 6:00 p.m.) with $1 off all beers, thanks to Miller Lite. Grammy award-winning guitarist David Cullen will take the Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage for a pre-game concert from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The highlight of the evening on Tuesday will be that all fans - especially hungry fans, can chow down on all-you-can-eat hot dogs, pizza, French fries, funnel cake, ice cream, and soda From 5:00 until the 7th inning stretch, as part of Gluttony Night, thanks to All Star Distributing, Sam Adams, Land Displays, and Rock Hits Y102. For just $7, fans can purchase a special Gluttony Night wristband, and enjoy delicious food while they watch the R-Phils host the Portland Sea Dogs in game one of their three-day, four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday's game is also a special game, as the R-Phils will hold their first-ever Hot Dog Festival, thanks to Rock Hits Y102. The R-Phils Hot Dog Festival will celebrate a ballpark favorite -- the hot dog, and all fans can come out to the ballpark and sample some of the area's best hot dogs and hot dog toppings beginning at 5:00 p.m. in VIST Financial Plaza.

Also on Tuesday, the R-Phils will hold a special Fan Appreciation Night, with a candy grab and prize grab, thanks to Rock Hits Y102. Tuesday games are also great for senior citizens and active and veteran military members as well. All seniors and active and veteran military members receive $3 off yellow box tickets every Tuesday, thanks to Genesis HealthCare. R-Phils Senior Club members can also enjoy a special Poolside Chat every Tuesday at the Reading Eagle Pool Picnic Area, thanks to Genesis HealthCare.
