
Generals Acquire Hunter Smith for Emerson Clark

Oshawa, Ontario - The Oshawa Generals announced today the acquisition of right winger Hunter Smith from the Windsor Spitfires. The Generals also receive a conditional 4th round pick in 2014 and a 6th round pick in 2015 in the deal. In exchange, the Generals have traded left winger Emerson Clark and a 3rd round pick in 2014.
"Hunter is a young developing player with a lot of potential," commented General Manager Jeff Twohey. "He will be an important part of our future and we look forward to his development with us."
Hunter played 15 games with the Windsor Spitfires last season, scoring one goal. He stands a staggering 6'7" and weighs in at 220 pounds, making him force to be contended with on the Generals offense.
Emerson Clark served with the Generals for three seasons after joining the team as a free agent. He totalled 147 games, 19 goals, 7 assists, and 26 points during his time in Oshawa.
"Emerson is a dedicated and hardworking player and we appreciate all the time and energy he committed to the team," commented Jeff Twohey. "It was important to us to resolve our overage player situation early and get Emerson settled. We're glad we could do that and we wish him all the best."
