GAMEDAY PREVIEW PRESENTED BY CULLIGAN WATER

LINCOLN (17-24-4)

The Stars are riding a season-high point streak, having gone 5-0-2 in their last seven games. They've also picked up four consecutive wins at the Ice Box, scoring an average of 4.25 goals/game in that stretch. At the same time, Lincoln's defense has stepped up, allowing two goals or less in three out of their last four contests at home.

Tonight's game marks the third meeting between these two clubs in Lincoln this season. Both previous matchups ended in 3-2 games. On February 5th, the Bucs squeaked away with a win in regulation following an overtime victory by the Stars on January 8th.

DES MOINES (23-15-4)

The Bucs have only been able to play two games since March 20th due to various postponements. On April 3rd, Des Moines shut out a depleted Waterloo group 4-0 on the road. Zach Urdahl, Noah Ellis, Alex Laferriere and Michael Bevilacqua all scored in the win. Remington Koepple stopped all 30 shots that came his way.

Urdahl and Koepple will miss tonight's game in Lincoln as they are set to appear in the Biosteel All-American Game in Plymouth, MI. While Des Moines currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference, their point percentage (.595) is second-best in the conference. They have five games in-hand on the Sioux City Musketeers, who occupy fourth place with one more point than the Bucs.

THINGS TO WATCH FOR

Clay Hanus has four points in his last three games since returning from an upper-body injury that caused him to miss time in mid-March ... Noah Laba is tied for the USHL lead among rookies in power-play goals with five after his PPG on Saturday night ... Ryan Ouellette is 4-0 in his last four starts ... Laferriere has potted three goals and an assist in three games against Lincoln this season ... Derek Mullahy is 0-2 in his last two starts for Des Moines, but he is 2-0 when facing off against the Stars in 2020-21.
