
Game Recap:Muskegon Looses to USA 3-7

PLYMOUTH, MI- The Muskegon Lumberjacks closed out a four-game in five-day stretch on Monday, dropping their final contest in that time frame to Team USA U18, 7-3.
Muskegon fell behind early, allowing four goals in the first period. After Team USA established an early 3-0 lead, Jacks goalie Jan Skorpik was pulled from the game in favor of Nate Reid.
Reid didn't fair much better, and Team USA made it 4-0 less than six minutes in.
Muskegon trailed 5-0 before Cristophe Tellier put the Jacks on the board in the second period.
However, the U18s added it right back, making it 6-1 by the end of the second.
Owen Mehlenbacher tallied for the Jacks in the third to make the score 6-2, but Team USA's Luke Hughes became the seventh-different USA goal scorer in restoring the U18's 5-goal lead.
Tanner Kelly recorded the game's final goal in the third, making the final score 7-3.
Muskegon next takes the ice this weekend against Team USA U17.
