Galaxy to hold open player tryouts

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, January 16, 2007) - The Los Angeles Galaxy will hold open tryouts for male soccer players ages 18 and older, who believe they can succeed at the Major League Soccer level, on Saturday, February 10 with select players advancing to the second round on Sunday, February 11 at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University at Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.

Registration is $130 and space is extremely limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis - so apply early.

L.A. Galaxy head coach Frank Yallop and the rest of the Galaxy coaching staff including Paul Bravo, Trevor James and Tim Hanley will be on hand to evaluate qualified participants over the course of two days of training. The open tryouts will serve as a possible source of new player signings for the club.

All players looking to attend the Galaxy's open tryouts must fill out an application at lagalaxy.com for consideration. Applications must be submitted online and participants must have a valid e-mail address. The registration deadline is Friday, February 2 at 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard). All registrants will be contacted with a registration confirmation via-email by Monday, February 5.
