Spokane Chiefs News Release

Blake Gal has returned to the Spokane Chiefs after spending two weeks with the Philadelphia Flyers at their NHL camp. Gal was originally invited to Philadelphia's prospect camp as a non-drafted free-agent and earned an invitation to their main camp. The 18-year-old is entering his third season in Spokane after scoring eight goals and 31 points in 61 games last year.

Gal is the third Chiefs to come back from a pro camp and leaves Tyler Johnson (Minnesota) and Jared Cowen (Ottawa) with NHL teams.

Spokane currently has 25 players in town. The Chiefs will open the regular season on Saturday, September 25th in Tri-City against the Americans. Mike Boyle will go on the air at 6:30 with Comcast HockeyTonight on 1510 KGA.
